The Origin Story of ZTAlways

A Zeta Tau Alpha alumna moved from Dallas to a small town in Colorado. Her new town did not have a ZTA collegiate or alumnae chapter nearby, and there were not enough local alumnae to start an alumnae chapter. This sister thought it could be a good idea to have an "at large" membership opportunity for alumnae to stay connected to ZTA. In 2003, an alumna presented this idea to a task force working on alumnae recruitment and retention. In 2006, a committee furthered explored this idea and constructed the concept. The committee’s at-large alumnae membership proposal was presented at ZTA’s 2006 National Convention in Houston, and a contest produced the name of “ZTAlways.”
